    FIRST VACUUM - SOLAS 160

SOLAS M.E.D. certified inflatable lifejacket vacuum-packed to provide a superior level of protection during onboard storage. The hermetic sealing protects the device from moisture, dust and salt, reducing deterioration and keeping it ready for use even after long periods of storage on board.

The compact structure facilitates stowage in dedicated spaces, while the ergonomic design allows simple and intuitive donning, ensuring comfort, reduced bulk and full freedom of movement.

    MAIN FEATURES

    • SOLAS M.E.D. certification
    • Vacuum-packed
    • Compact, reduced bulk
    • Immediate opening in case of emergency
    • Ergonomic and intuitive
    • Maintains optimal conditions even after long storage periods

    ADVANTAGES

    • Longer material lifespan thanks to vacuum protection
    • Faster distribution and donning during emergencies
    • Lower risk of deterioration caused by the marine environment
    • Up to 83% space saving on board (1 M-CUBE = 7 FIRST VACUUM 160N)

    ACTIVATION SYSTEMS

The lifejacket integrates the following inflation activation modes:

    • Automatic activation
In the event of a fall overboard, once submerged the system automatically activates the inflation of the buoyancy chamber within 5 seconds. Available with UML MK5 activator (water-soluble tablet) or HAMMAR MA1/EC (hydrostatic system).
    • Oral inflation
As an emergency or complementary system, the buoyancy chamber can be inflated via the oral tube fitted with a non-return valve and protective cap.

    TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

    • Type: Inflatable lifejacket
    • Real buoyancy: >160 N
    • Cylinder: 33 g ½"" GAS thread
    • Closure system: 40 mm webbing with quick-release buckle in acetal resin
    • Certifications: SOLAS M.E.D.
    • Size: Adult
    • Supported weight: >40 kg
    • Waist circumference: 80 – 175 cm (oversize fit)
    • Chamber: PA 420 PU COATED material, yellow colour – dual compartment for SOLAS, with electronically controlled high-frequency welds
    • Product packaging: VACUUM SEALED PE BAG, transparent, tear-open
    • Product dimensions: 28 × 23 × 4.5 cm
    • Product weight: 02272 (UML MK5): 765 g – 02272/H (HAMMAR MA1/EC): 672 g
    • Packaging: 60 × 40 × 40 cm (boxes of 18 pieces)
    • Service interval: Every 12 months (possibility of 5-year service programmes in agreement with Notified Bodies and Flag Registries)
    • Included accessories: Light, whistle

The dual-compartment buoyancy chamber is designed to follow body ergonomics and optimise position in the water, guaranteeing immediate body rotation (Spin-Tilt) and keeping the airways clear of water. Even with the chamber inflated it is possible to swim easily to reach a safe place or board a life raft quickly.

    VACUUM TECHNOLOGY

This technology has been developed and applied exclusively by Veleria San Giorgio to improve resistance to atmospheric agents and ensure greater durability over time. Tests carried out in accordance with international SOLAS standards (IMO Resolution MSC.200(80)) demonstrate the efficiency of the Vacuum System compared to other packaging systems.

    OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

    • Sprayhood (cod. 09145/SK)
    • VSG Rescue ID – Recognition system with integrated radio-frequency programming and identification technology

    SPARE PARTS

    • Automatic LED light (cod. 03030) – SOLAS M.E.D. and USCG APP
In compliance with the LSA Code and SOLAS standards, life jackets must be equipped with Solas signal lights.

    • TYPES OF ACTIVATION

      Automatic activation

Automatic: in the event of a fall into the sea, the system is submerged and activates autonomously, within 5 second, the inflation of the buoyancy chamber. Automatic activation is possible with the UML MK5 salt activator, through the dissolution of a water-soluble tablet, or with the hydrostatic activator Hammar MA1 through the pressure generated by immersion in water for at least 10 cm.

      Manual activation

The system is activated through the draft of the appropriate lever. It comes with the manual activator UML MICROMANUAL and it will activate exclusively by hand.
