    Description

    FIRST - SOLAS 160

Inflatable life jacket certified SOLAS M.E.D. with a real buoyancy >160 N and quick-release buckle made of acetal resin with integrated adjustment.

Designed for professional use and work activities in open sea, even in adverse weather conditions, it guarantees high safety standards and reliability, allowing the user to wait for rescue even in rough waters.

Ergonomic design, combined with the selection of high-quality materials and PVC coating, offers a comfortable user experience and a natural fit. Designed to be worn easily even over technical work clothing, it moves with the body without restricting mobility. Its lightweight and durable construction enables quick donning, ensuring freedom of movement and prolonged comfort during operations and maneuvers on board.

    MAIN FEATURES

    • Ergonomic design with a comfortable and wide collar opening, designed for easy donning and comfortable use
    • Waterproof cover in durable PVC
    • Front quick-release buckle
    • Rear handle for rescue assistance
    • Sub-strap predisposition

    Color: Blue (New Design).

    ACTIVATION SYSTEMS

The life jacket integrates three activation modes for the inflation system:

    • Automatic activation
In case of falling into the sea, the system, once immersed, automatically activates the buoyancy chamber within 5 seconds. Automatic activation can occur via UML MK5 actuator (or equivalent Halkey-Roberts) with water-soluble tablet, or via HAMMAR MA1/EC actuator based on a hydrostatic system.
    • Manual activation
Inflation can be manually triggered by pulling the designated lever. The system can be equipped with UML MICROMANUAL actuator (or equivalents) or HAMMAR M1.
    • Oral inflation
As an emergency or supplementary system, the buoyancy chamber can be inflated via the oral tube, equipped with a non-return valve and protective cap.

    TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

    • Type: Inflatable life jacket
    • True buoyancy: >160 N
    • Cylinder: 33 g with ½"" GAS thread
    • Closure system: 40 mm tape with quick-release buckle made of acetal resin
    • Certifications: SOLAS M.E.D.
    • Size: Adult
    • Supported weight: >40 kg
    • Waist circumference: 80 – 175 cm (oversized fit)
    • Cover: Durable, soft fabric with PVC coating
    • Chamber: PA 420 PU COATED material, yellow color – double compartment for SOLAS, with high-frequency welds controlled electronically
    • Product packaging: Transport bag in PL 200D
    • Product dimensions: 43 × 56 × 8 cm
    • Revision: Every 12 months

The double-compartment buoyancy chamber is designed to follow the ergonomic shape of the body and optimize water position. Thanks to the asymmetrical shape of the lower part, it guarantees immediate body rotation (Spin-Tilt), keeping the airways clear of water. Even with the chamber inflated, it is possible to swim easily to reach a safe place or quickly climb onto a raft.

    ACCESSORIES ON REQUEST

    • Fabric backpack
    • Automatic LED light (code 03030) – certified SOLAS M.E.D. and USCG APPROVED
    • Spray hood (code 09145/SK)
    • Sub-strap (codes 09146 or 09148)
    • Protective rubber cover for Hammar actuator (code 1278/1)
    • Badge holder (code 652/PB)
    • Microsphere reflective tape (code 367/795)

    SPARE PARTS

    • Whistle (code 25180) – mandatory accessory certified ISO 12402-8
    • Rearming kit (code 26233) – 33 g cylinder (compatible with UML MK5, UML MICROMANUAL, and HAMMAR MA1/EC)

    SERVICE

In compliance with the LSA Code and SOLAS standards, life jackets must be equipped with Solas signal lights.

  • TYPES OF ACTIVATION

    Automatic activation

Automatic: in the event of a fall into the sea, the system is submerged and activates autonomously, within 5 second, the inflation of the buoyancy chamber. Automatic activation is possible with the UML MK5 salt activator, through the dissolution of a water-soluble tablet, or with the hydrostatic activator Hammar MA1 through the pressure generated by immersion in water for at least 10 cm.

    Manual activation

The system is activated through the draft of the appropriate lever. It comes with the manual activator UML MICROMANUAL and it will activate exclusively by hand.
